Oh Hey! It's Me Jessica.
Welcome to my little studio. I'm Jessica Decker, originally from Florida and am now proudly serving the Cottage Grove and surrounding areas of Minnesota.
As a mom of four (now teenagers), and as someone who struggles with auto-immunity, I know how important it is to not only take some time to feel special, pampered, and beautiful in a relaxing space, but also for our choices in the salon to be helpful (and not hurtful) to our health! That's why I nerd out on ingredient lists for my haircare and color lines, to be sure there's a strong balance between modern science and holistic nurturing, because after all, we want the product to work, we just don't want it to mess with our endocrine systems!
I started my career with Aveda and now more than ever, after over a decade behind the chair, I feel so passionate about ensuring that my craft supports you in a holistic manner. I specialize in weightless extensions, specifically hand-crafted keratin bonds, to give you the hair you always wanted (or remember having) without causing damage to your scalp. I also utilize color analysis in my formulations to ensure you always reflect your healthiest glow.
While many stylists offer a great experience and solid maintenance care thereafter, I take my role as your stylist a little deeper. I work together with all of my clients to create a long-term hair care plan, designing your look to always keep you feeling beautiful and confident so you won't ever feel bored, drab, or stuck. I'll be checking in regularly to be sure you're always feeling fabulous.
When I'm not in the salon I'm often channeling my inner nerd, studying about nutrition and how it impacts our hair growth, or taking more education to continue perfecting my craft. I also spend quite a bit of time baking bread and making homemade pasta or teaching my daughter (the only one who pops into the kitchen with me) how to cook. She's doing well and has even taken charge of a few of our key recipes! My family and I love to explore new trails, while I slow us down taking macro photos of tiny flowers and bugs; we dream about the good ol' days collecting shells at the ocean and kayaking in the intercoastal, and in the winter's we spend a lot of time at hockey games. I'm an old soul who knows a little bit about a lot of things, with tips and tricks galore!
